“Building Safer Communities One Byte at a Time”
AwayVision LLC has partnered with fellow St. Louis based Nexgen Integration LLC to launch “The Community ECHO” Program a unique approach at community based surveillance.
The Community ECHO (Electronic Community and Homeland Observation) Program or ECHO for short has been developed and formatted based on over a decade of successful Wide Area Surveillance Solutions (WASS). These solutions have been provided in many Community, Private, Government, Military and Law Enforcement applications throughout the United States.
The ECHO concept is a modified and modernized model of a conceptual program first developed by AwayVision LLC in 2004 but was not economically deliverable in a Community or Public format at the time. Now through technology and communication infrastructure advances Community and Neighborhood WASS solutions can be effectively and economically provide through “The Community ECHO Program”
The Community ECHO program is a community based observation system(s) program. ECHO allows community and neighborhood watch style activities utilizing modern surveillance technologies allowing anonymous discretion to assist in crime prevention and evidence recovery. ECHO is deployed in Business, Entertainment, Shopping, and Recreation areas utilized by the public to increase safety. ECHO can be deployed in residential sectors but the primary focus of the program is Public Areas.
ECHO operates within all State and Federal laws for Electronic Video Surveillance. The program “mimics” or “Echoes” the efforts of Law Enforcement and community Neighborhood Watch crime prevention and monitoring programs. ECHO is not revenue generating such as red-light and electronic speed ticketing systems.
Community ECHO is operated and managed by the ECHO Committee for each community. The primary functions of The Community ECHO program is for crime deterrent, crime prevention, and evidence recovery should crime occur. Because ECHO is an “enterprise” or “large scale” capable system(s) utilizing many standard communication protocols it does have the ability to integrate with most Law Enforcement central monitoring locations. Integration would only occur if approved by the ECHO Committee of the community in conjunction with local Law Enforcement.
AwayVision LLC will work closely with Nexgen Integration LLC, local business owners, and affiliate local program sponsors for implementation of The Community ECHO Program. Spearheading the Program with long term experience will be Stacey Ackman, Program Administrator, C. Thomas Nickelson, Implementation Supervisor, and Morgan Logsdon, IT / Network Supervisor, providing a quality leadership team for support and direction of The Community ECHO Program.
